Read moreYolanda Johnson was born in Paducah and raised in Mayfield. She served six (6) years in the United States Air Force upon graduating high school. She obtained an Associates of Applied Science in Criminal Justice from West Kentucky Community and Technical College and Bachelor’s of Arts in Broadcast Media from Murray State University. While at Murray State University, she had the opportunity to study abroad in England and Spain. Upon completion of her Bachelors degree, Yolanda moved to New York City where she lived and worked for five (5) years. In 2009, she returned to Mayfield where she worked in the Law Enforcement and Corrections field for seven (7) years. Yolanda was elected to serve on the McCracken County Democratic Executive Board and appointed by Governor Andy Beshear to the Juvenile Justice Advisory Board.
