Tanya founded Stop Heroin Lexington after her son lost his battle with addiction in 2014. Stop Heroin Lexington provides prevention and harm reduction education and treatment resources to the addicted and their families in not only in her community but communities in surrounding counties. Tanya’s current project is the development of Central Kentucky Harm Reduction Coalition. The Coaltion’s purpose is advocacy and capacity building for harm reduction interventions, public health strategies and programs that address the adverse effects of sex work and drug use including overdose, HIV, Hep C, addiction and incarceration in Central and Eastern Kentucky communities.
