This drive led me to be the stewardship chairperson and refugee coordinator at Middletown United Methodist Church, to become an educator, and to sponsor the Y club and the first Sexual orientation and gender awareness club at Noe Middle School. Through these opportunities I’ve learned the importance of building diversity, that our strength comes from all of us together, and that excluding others weakens our whole.
