With clinical and organizational development experience spanning over 16 years leading from a lens of hope, love, empathy, as well as accountability, responsibility, and humility, Shreeta is noted as a leading expert in the field of substance use and prevention. Shreeta’s passion, drive, and commitment has become visible and recognized, not just in Kentucky, but across the United States. Through harm reduction, Shreeta has found her niche and success in advocating for needed policy changes; most notable and recent work with partnering agencies on the decriminalization of Fentanyl Test Strips, HIV is not a Crime bill, and her collaboration on the Recovery Housing legislation. From request to conduct live Naloxone presentations for local civic leaders, press conferences, panel and speaking engagements, to participating in national, local and city conferences such as the National Harm Reduction Coalition Conference in Puerto Rico held in the Fall of 2022, Shreeta’s influence and presence in these spaces has been recognized as an essential and a much needed voice at tables to influence changes in policies, regulations, to effectively challenge antiquated belief systems that perpetuate the state of health disparities in marginalized communities.
