Read moreLindsay Volk Beets is a Louisville native, and currently serving as an Assistant Jefferson County Attorney prosecuting criminal cases in Jefferson District Court. Prior to joining the Jefferson County Attorney Office, Lindsay was an Equal Justice Works Veterans Legal Corps Fellow at the Legal Aid Society of Louisville. Lindsay graduated with her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Kentucky in 2008 and from Thomas Jefferson School of Law in San Diego, California in 2013. She is a member of the Kentucky Bar Association and the Missouri Bar Association, and licensed Real Estate Sales Agent in Kentucky with Bob Hayes Realty in Louisville. Lindsay serves as a Board Member for the Women Lawyers Association of Jefferson County and serves on the Louisville Bar Association’s Public Service Committee. She is a member of the Junior League of Louisville, the Honorable Order of the Kentucky Colonels, and the Greater Louisville Association of Realtors. Lindsay is a 2015 graduate of Leadership Louisville’s Focus Louisville, a 2015 graduate National Institute of Trial Advocacy program, a 2016 graduate of the Louisville Bar Association’s Leadership Academy and a 2019 graduate of the Kentucky Prosecutors Institute’s Trial Training program. Lindsay is a study abroad alumna of Ruprecht-Karls-Universität Heidlerberg, in Heidelberg, Germany. Since 2013, Lindsay has been an annual speaker and volunteer at the Louisville Bar Association’s Summer Law Institute for High School students. Lindsay has been published in the Louisville Bar Association’s Bar Briefs monthly publication and was a featured speaker at the Kentucky Bar Association’s 2015 Annual Convention.
