Leesa is a graduate of Frankfort High School and received her Bachelor of Arts from Berea College. After college Leesa’s goal was to move home, join the workforce and help shape the future of Frankfort. She joined multiple boards but Leesa, who ran cross country and track in school, ended up becoming the President of the local run/walk club the Frankfort Striders. She and the strider board members worked to get the club nonprofit status and created the annual Frankfort Striders Race Series. The Frankfort Striders help motivate community members to start and stay active by participating in weekly run groups, beginner 5K training programs and races that support local businesses and nonprofits. Leesa also joined the Walk Bike Frankfort board and was the treasurer for several years. She helped promote projects in Frankfort that foster a sense of connectivity, pedestrian safety, accessibility and that enhance our communities’ surroundings. In every role, Leesa’s goal has remained the same: to help elevate the Frankfort community by making impacts on our daily lives. Leesa is honored to represent the citizens of Frankfort and is determined to do all she can to better the city that she calls home.
