Originally planning a career in law or politics, Dr. Berg instead heard the calling of medicine. The daughter of an esteemed surgeon father and lawyer/nurse mother, she learned the value of education and service. In 2017, Dr. Berg semi-retired from medical practice, electing to focus on politics and incorporating those learned values. She believes it is an important mission, and will allow her to continue contributing to a community that has done so much for her and her family. She is a proud graduate of the Emerge Kentucky program!
Berg graduated from Central High School in Louisville in 1978. She received her B.S. in Political Science from the University of Kentucky in 1983, where she graduated Phi Beta Kappa. She received her M.D. from the University of Louisville, School of Medicine in 1987. She is a practicing Diagnostic Radiologist, and has been a practicing physician for over 30 years.
