I grew up in Glasgow, Kentucky, and caring for my father as he lived with ALS taught me early how deeply policy decisions shape the lives of Kentucky families—especially when support systems don’t show up the way they should.
For the past thirteen years, I’ve been home raising my three children while staying actively engaged in civic life. I volunteered on behalf of candidates and issues across Kentucky and Tennessee, supporting grassroots organizing, outreach, and community conversations. That work showed me that politics here is personal, relational, and built on trust earned one conversation at a time.
I recently earned a master’s degree in political science and now teach at the Kentucky College of Art + Design, where I help students connect power, policy, and civic engagement to the realities of life in Kentucky. I’m especially passionate about supporting women, strengthening rural and urban communities alike, and making civic participation feel accessible rather than intimidating.
I’m motivated by my kids, my Kentucky roots, and a deep belief that our state deserves leaders who listen, lead with empathy, and aren’t afraid to step forward and claim their place at the table.
