She has served as Director of the Office of Victims Advocacy for the KY Attorney General, Staff Attorney for the KY Association of Sexual Assault Programs and the Cabinet for Health & Family Services and as immigration Attorney at the Center for Women & Families.
Gretchen trains locally and nationally, has extensive public policy experience including her instrumental role in helping to pass the Human Trafficking Victims Rights Act of 2013. She has been recognized for her advocacy, receiving awards from the Kentucky Women’s Law Enforcement Network, KY Rescue and Restore and the Women Lawyers Association.
A graduate of Boston College and Public Service Scholar at Boston College Law School, Gretchen has taught adjunct courses on Gender and the Law and Domestic Violence Law and has published articles in the Bench and Bar and the Journal of Trauma and Abuse.
Gretchen was the 2014 Democratic nominee for State Representative in the 48th District, and is most proud of inspiring her daughter Jane (now 10) to run for student council.
