Former Pike County resident, Brianna J. L. Rutherford is a licensed funeral director, embalmer, and certified crematory operator in Kentucky and Florida.
Brianna graduated from Belfry High School and Mid America College of Funeral Service, both of which she was active and elected in student government. After passing the International Conference of Funeral Service examination and becoming licensed in her profession, she moved to Hazard, KY where she became Perry County’s first female deputy coroner and was deemed a Duchess of Hazard by Mayor Jimmy Lindon for her service to the community.
She is a member of the Pike County Women’s Democratic Club, Broward County Women’s Democratic Club, Young Kentucky Democrats, a chair holder of the Order of the Eastern Star Stone Lodge 533, and an honorary member of various women’s Democratic clubs throughout Eastern Kentucky. Brianna currently resides in Fort Lauderdale, FL where she is active in local and state elections, Heal the Planet, Ocean Conservancy, 4ocean, and volunteering with Coalition to End Homelessness. She is known for her compassionate leadership.
