Raised on lessons about dignity in work, economic fairness, and looking out for others, April’s worldview was shaped early by her grandfather, a coal miner’s son from Hazard and a lifelong union Democrat who believed deeply in collective responsibility.
April is the founder of Allonsy Innovation and LedgerSprite, where she brings her experience in scaling organizations, learning and development, and strategy back to the local level. After years working in the tech industry, she intentionally shifted her focus to supporting small businesses, nonprofits, and families in her own community, helping people build stability and grow with confidence.
She currently serves as Treasurer for the League of Women Voters of Lexington, where she also contributes to member training and public engagement efforts. April is known for her ability to connect with people, create clarity in complex environments, and lead with empathy and transparency.
Outside of her professional and civic work, April is a mother of two college students, a partner, and an advocate for inclusive communities where people feel safe to be themselves. She believes leadership is about service, listening, and building systems that truly work for people.
