After graduating in 2009, she moved to Lexington and was crowned Miss Kentucky in the summer of 2010. During her year of service she traveled throughout the commonwealth as a spokesperson for “Kentucky Proud” and an ambassador for her personal platform, “Homelessness Prevention: A Hand Up, Not a Hand Out.” Trent went on to represent Kentucky at the 2011 Miss America Pageant, where she placed in the Top Ten and was the first ever Contestant’s Choice.
