For the past 22 years Beth has worked for the Administrative Office of the Courts as the District Court Judicial Secretary in Simpson and Allen Counties for Judge Martha Blair Harrison and Judge Frank H. Wakefield II. She graduated from Franklin Simpson High School in 1989 and continued her studies at Western Kentucky University where she got her Bachelor’s degree in Education.
Faith is an important aspect of her life and she has been a member of Franklin First United Methodist Church for 25 years. She has also served as a local pastor in Adairville, Auburn, and Franklin for the past 12 years.
Beth attend the extended campus of Emory University’s Candler School of Theology and is currently serving in her third year as an AmeriCorps Volunteer as the Simpson County Coordinator for Room In The Inn, Inc.
She and her husband, Richie, and have been married for over 27 years and have raised two beautiful daughters, Kaitlyn and Lauren. They also have one 4-year-old granddaughter, Chloe. They currently live in the Rapid’s area of Simpson County.
Beth continues to serve her community by being an active member of the Franklin-Simpson Chamber of Commerce, the Franklin-Simpson Leadership Alumni, the Simpson County Democratic Women’s Club, and the Franklin Business & Professional Women’s Club.
Beth has enjoyed serving the community for many years and hopes to serve as your Simpson County Circuit Court Clerk. In her 22 years of experience of working with judges and clerks from across the state, she knows firsthand what it takes to run an efficient and effective office. She has proven leadership skills, and the experience and the knowledge to provide you with excellent customer service while maintaining all court records. Her office will remain open during lunch for your convenience and you will receive service with a SMILE. She will serve Simpson County as your ‘WORKING CLERK’!
