She moved to Lexington in 2013 to attend Transylvania University and the University of Kentucky, where she swam competitively and pursued her undergraduate education. In 2019, Meghan returned to the University of Kentucky to earn her Master of Social Work (MSW) degree, where she developed a passion for advocacy. During undergrad, her work with the Children’s Law Center and Advocacy in Motion gave her valuable experience in mitigation and advocacy on an individual and policy level. From 2020 to 2022, Meghan practiced as a Certified Social Worker (CSW) in private practice, supporting clients from across Kentucky. In 2022, after earning her LCSW, she expanded her work to include therapy services in Bourbon County schools. Alongside her clinical practice, Meghan served on the board of the Kentucky Youth Law Project from 2021 to 2024, where she advocated for the rights and well-being of LGBTQ+ youth. Deeply committed to helping others, Meghan is passionate about creating meaningful change in her community and empowering individuals to overcome challenges. She plans to continue to serve as an advocate to help build a more equitable and supportive world.
