Read moreAllison is an Exceptional Child Educator in Jefferson County Public Schools, where she is a member of the JCTA/KEA. Allison graduated from Georgetown College in 2011 before moving to Atlanta, Georgia to serve with Teach For America and teach in low-income communities. She taught special education and coached high school and club volleyball, where her team won a state championship and she was awarded the American Volleyball Coaches Association’s Top 30 Coaches Under 30. Allison earned her Masters in High-Incidence Learning Disabilities from the University of Kansas in 2019, and returned to the Bluegrass State in 2023 when she moved to Mt. Washington to be closer to family. Allison is married to her college sweetheart, John Mark, and currently has one son and a dog. She is passionate about public education, and policies that will make the world safer and more equitable for her students and her own child.
