Read moreMonica Mundy, Ph.D., is a native of Red Fox in Southeastern Kentucky. She is an assistant professor in the public health program at Eastern Kentucky University. She is dedicated to enhancing the educational landscape, focusing on evidence-based strategies to transform educational environments into equitable, thriving, sustainable spaces for educators and students. With over 15 years of experience as a public health practitioner, she has had the privilege of collaborating with diverse communities and leveraging data-driven insights to inform actionable policies in tobacco control and evidence-based prevention and treatment programs.
She is the co-chair of the Kentucky Public Health Association Advocacy Committee, co-leader of the Central Kentucky YMCA’s Black Achievers Healthcare cluster, and an active member of her local PTA. Monica graduated with her Ph.D. in Education from the University of Kentucky, a Master’s degree in Public Health from Eastern Kentucky University, and a Bachelor’s degree in Communications from the University of Kentucky.
