After several years as a public defender, Sana shifted gears to reflect changing priorities and life as a new mother. Although she is no longer fighting for liberty interests, she is happy to be able to play a role in ensuring compliance with the Kentucky Civil Rights Act, not just locally but across the Commonwealth. As a double UofL alumni, she remains involved with schools in various capacities. Most importantly, in this early phase of motherhood, her priority is focusing on fleeting time with her son as they learn from each other. He has been the reason for shifts in her priorities concerning political issues as well. Sana is now more concerned than ever with the health and potential of the youth and hopes to play a role in building strong foundations and true equal opportunities for them all to thrive.
