Read moreKate Dittmeier Holm began her career as a public defender, working with clients to fix injustices in the criminal legal system by investigating and litigating allegations of constitutional violations. She later expanded her practice to include immigration law and owned and operated her own small firm. Kate returned to the state public defender agency to find ways for public defenders to use data to address challenges and systemic injustice in the criminal legal system. She has been engaged in her community in volunteer and leadership roles in legal clinics, public schools, and her church. Kate earned her bachelor’s degree in History and Political Science from Western Kentucky University in 2005 and earned her law degree from the Louis D. Brandeis School of Law at the University of Louisville in 2008.
