Read moreWhitney Z. Johns is a native of Madisonville, but has resided in Central Kentucky since 2003. She received both her Bachelors of Arts degree in Political Science (2007) and her Juris Doctor (2011) from the University of Kentucky. Prior to entering law school, Whitney worked and volunteered with various non-profit literacy organizations, taught English as a second language, and served as an Americorps VISTA for a year, during which time she completed over 2,000 hours of community service. Whitney is the managing partner of Taylor and Johns, PLLC, where she practices in the areas of real estate, estate planning, probate, and general civil matters. Whitney also serves as the part time Assistant Mercer County Attorney, where her focus is the prosecution of dependency, neglect, and abuse cases in family court. Whitney is a member of the Harrodsburg Sestercentennial Commission, the Kentucky Commission on Women, and is a Board Member of the Kentucky Commission on Women Foundation. Whitney lives in Mercer County with her husband and three children.
