Read moreJoy Andrade-Stemle is a Kentucky native who currently lives in the great city of Lexington with her husband and two pups. She received her bachelor’s degree in biology with a minor in communication from the University of Kentucky. Currently, she is pursuing her Master’s in Public Health from Western Kentucky University with focuses on epidemiology and leadership. After graduation she hopes to work directly with public health policy to work towards achieving true health equity. Growing up, Joy was taught that a spirit of public service is one of the greatest gifts that she can offer to her community. Therefore, she is passionate about using both her professional and personal life to serve the place she calls home. She currently works for the Kentucky Department for Public Health as a Lab Data Surveillance Specialist. Joy also serves on the Board of Directors for The Homeless and Housing Coalition of Kentucky. She is a provisional member of the service organization, The Junior League of Lexington. She hopes to use her voice to advocate for positive change in her community and beyond. She is excited for the future and feels confident that together we will make a difference in our great state.
