Read moreStephanie Bolen was born and raised in Hopkinsville, Kentucky. Her family can be traced back to 5 generations in Christian County. In 1998, Stephanie became the first African American to earn a Master of Science Degree in Forestry from the University of Kentucky. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Old Dominion University, and a Juris Doctoral Degree from Valparaiso University. After earning her Master of Science Degree, she became a Planner for the Department of the Interior, Bureau of Land Management where she worked with 5 federal and state agencies on the initial management plan for the Santa Rosa San Jacinto Mountains National Monument. After working for the Department of the Interior, she entered law school. Upon graduating from law school, she obtained her license to practice law in Virginia and began working for the Virginia Indigent Defense Commission. After working as a Public Defender , Stephanie opened her law office where she participated in Bench Trials, Jury Trials and Motions hearings for civil, traffic and criminal cases. She also represented clients in federal court. Stephanie closed her law office in Virginia, moved back to my hometown, obtained her license to practice law in Kentucky and is now an Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney in Christian County.
