After graduating from Woodford County High School in 2006, Whitney obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Criminology and Criminal Justice from the University of Maryland College Park. Thereafter, she went on to obtain a Masters of Education from George Mason University, and then her Juris Doctor at The University of Kentucky College of Law (UK Law) in 2015. Upon graduating from UK Law, Whitney accepted a position with Landrum & Shouse, LLP, where she continues to practice today.
Whitney has served in various leadership capacities throughout her educational and professional career, including two years as a Teach for America Peace Corps Member. Currently, she serves as the Vice President of Woodford County Young Democrats and the Fayette County Teen Court Coordinator, a position she has held for the past four years. In her spare time, Whitney enjoys traveling, crafting and event planning. She strives to live by the saying “share your blessings, they aren’t yours to keep!”
