Maurie McGarvey

Maurie McGarvey was born in Paducah, Kentucky, where she lives with her husband, Kevin Qualls, and where she is a business and community leader. She is the mother of one son, Mason, who lives in Lexington, KY. Maurie’s nearly 37-year banking career has been primarily at The Paducah Bank & Trust Company where she is the Senior Vice President and Director of Talent & Culture. During her career, she has earned the Senior Professional in Human Resources, the Society for Human Resource Management Senior Certified Professional, and the Certified Professional Coach designations. Maurie’s community service includes serving on the Board of Directors of Leadership Kentucky, the Rotary Club of Paducah, the United Way of Paducah/McCracken County, the Paducah Main Street, the Paducah/McCracken County Convention & Visitors Bureau, the Paducah/River City Business & Professional Women’s Organization, and the Market House Theatre. She also served on the Charter Commission for Merged City/County Government and the United Way’s Impact Poverty Task Force. Maurie has been recognized as an Outstanding Leadership Paducah Alumni, Outstanding Woman of Achievement from the Paducah/River City Business & Professional Women, and Volunteer of the Year by the United Way of Kentucky and the United Way of Paducah/McCracken County. Maurie is also a Paul Harris Fellow through the Rotary Club of Paducah. Maurie was graduated from Paducah Tilghman High School, earned her degree from Western Kentucky University, was graduated from the Kentucky Schools of Banking and Graduate Schools of Banking Human Resources Management School, and most recently completed Google’s Search Inside Yourself Leadership Institute Engage Program. She also earned her 200 hr. Yoga Teacher Training Certification in December, 2020.
