As a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), National Certified Counselor (NCC), Licensed School Counselor (SCL) and Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher(ERYT-200) Dr. Dye has served her local, regional and national community with heart, mind and body wellness for over 20 years. She is trained and certified in a variety of interventions that focus on the integration of counseling, neuroscience and trauma informed body based healing processes. She regularly facilitates workshops with parents, teachers, students and community professionals in the areas of ancestral/race based healing, shamanic healing, yoga & drumming therapy, trauma releasing activities, urban school counseling and professional self –care. Her professional clinical experience has spanned across a variety of populations (addictions, marriage and families, mental health), school settings (rural, urban, suburban) and grade levels. Her research interest and publications include topics on Mindfulness & Yoga, Urban Education and working with DACA and undocumented immigrants.
Dr. Dye is passionate about her involvement in community activities. She is committed to promoting health and wellness in the WKU, Bowling Green and Kentucky communities through pop- up drum circles, yoga classes, meditation sessions and community meals. She hosts an online fitness accountability Facebook page that promotes exercise (no matter how much or small) as lifestyle with over 600 active members from across the globe.
